Where to Find Your Browser Cache

If you're experiencing slow webpage loading times or need to troubleshoot your internet browser, you may need to locate and clear your browser cache. Here's how to find it on different web browsers.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots in the top-right corner.
  3. Select More tools > Clear browsing data...
  4. In the box that appears, select the Cached images and files option.
  5. Click Clear data.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click on the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Options.
  4. Go to the Privacy & Security panel.
  5. Scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section and click Clear Data....

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click on the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click on Privacy, search, and services.
  5. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
  6. Select the Cached images and files option and click Clear now.

Safari

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Click on Safari in the top menu bar.
  3. Select Preferences.
  4. Go to the Advanced tab and check the box next to Show Develop menu in menu bar.
  5. Close the Preferences window.
  6. Click on Develop in the menu bar and select Empty Caches.

Opera

  1. Open Opera.
  2. Click on the Opera logo in the top-left corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Navigate to Privacy & security.
  5. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
  6. Select the Cached images and files option and click Clear data.
